A Lobster Fest

Lobsters may look delicious in theory their tanks.

But crabs are the superior tasting claw fierce creatures.

Not Quite

We went to the Chinese Buffet place to pick up some dinner the other night.  The parting mint are pillow mints, and I got some for Boo-Head.

He happily ate his pillow mint.  He bit in and was surprised to discover it was a mint because I did not tell him what it was.

Then I explained it was a pillow mint.

BH: piwwo?
Or 2: pillow
BH: pi..wwo?
Or 2: Pillow.  You know, like the pillow you sleep on.  ::turned away for a second:: Except you don't...
BH: ::cradling his head with the pillow mint::
Or 2: Silly Boobey! You don't actually sleep on these.  It's hard, right?
BH: :::confused:: Yes...

No worries, he now knows they're not for sleeping on.  At least he did not say 'pirro'.  I'd be more concerned that he was racist, and making fun of his Asian family!

'Runk

Dinner on Sunday was made by H1.

We feasted on a penne pasta dish with shrimp, cooked in a cream-based tomato sauce infused with white wine.

The meal was good but the conversation was even better.

Luuiiiissssss: This food is great!
H1: Thanks, I think it's the wine in the sauce.  I like it.
Luuiiiiisssss: You're feeding my son wine?!
H1: Oh please.  The wine burnt off a long time ago when it was cooking.
BH: ...I'm drunk!

What Do You See?

"More Snacks, More Snacks...what do you see?/
I see more snacks, looking at me!"

Brown Bear never sounded so good.

Learning to Fib

Today in the car, he told his mommy that he was 'tarving. Starving, even. And starving, still.

It was of course, Grandma who starved him all day, according to his story.

All this drama for a sit down dinner at the Train Station and some nerds candy.

It turns out that when I got home, Grandma was starving me.

Can you believe that woman failed to have my hot dogs ready and waiting?!

You Would Swear

It's not as if he doesn't know the difference between chicken and fish but I guess he was having an off day when Grandma put the chicken in the pot.

He wanted to see it and asked for 'up', peered into the pot and exclaimed, "Wow! Fish!"

Tea Party

Yesterday was Valentine's Day and BH requested a tea party.

I was not invited but I was allowed to be the waiter.

I'm still waiting for payment of my $61.50 bill, tip not included.

Those little brats ate like kings!

I mean, seriously...they even got tie-dye cupcakes for cripes' sake.

MacDonald's

The other day BooHead was tasked with watching a woman's food at MCD's while she went to the bathroom.

He looked at it, looked at his mom, looked back at it and wondered what was going on.

The woman returned and thanked BH, picked up her food to leave and was met with, "EAT IT!".

She had to explain to him that she would eat it at home.

He rather enjoys telling people what's what.

Some Funnies

It was clear a long time ago but we have to watch what we say around Boohead. He repeats and understands everything we tell him.

The other night, on Grandma's birthday, we went to the Chinese take out restaurant to buy Birthday Take Out for Grandma. We told him as much and as we pulled into the parking lot, he whispered "Chinese Store".

Then he went in and said, "Chinese Store". It was not a horrible thing but kind of funny too.

The other day, Angelo realised she speaks like Boohead when he's around.

"Boohead! Eat Food?" and in the same breath, "I'm talking like him now."

That's cute.

Okay Then.

Or 2: Is Boobey whiney today?
H1: No, A'Face was happy to see him.
Or 2: Oh, okay.
H1: B'Cheeks was happy to see Grandma.
Or 2: Okay.
H1: Boobey was happy to see an apple.
Or 2: Wha'?
H1: Yeah.
Or 2: …okay.

Play-doh

With our yellow, green and blue Play-doh, Boo-Head and I have been creating masterpieces!

Most times we create food and thus far we've 'feasted' on meatball pizza, drinks of various kinds, a burger, a T-Bone steak, blueberries and green peas.

Our creatures have been shaped into a Pumpkin the Cat, a Jazzie the Cat and a Bird. Once, there was a Caterpillar (which I only just this second realized what it was because for the life of me, I couldn't figure out what I had made nor could he).

The recent obsession has been the molding of a boppie, a baby, a bottle and the baby's toy car.

But 'sshhhh', the baby's sleeping.

shhhhh...
