BH was in the park with his Daddy. Due to this darned Indian Summer we've been having, the weather's been pretty sunny and mild, giving BH a few extra days to ride in the park with his jeep.
A little girl was playing in the park the day BH was rollin' through.
He spotted her and invited her for a ride. She was looking on eagerly.
"Come on in!" he said and motioned.
"Can I?" she asked Luuuuiiiiisssss.
"If it's okay with your mom, then yes," he replied.
Just then, the little girl's mother came around to see what was going on.
The girl asked if it would be okay, and the mother's response was, "Yeah girl, of course! You found yourself a man with a ride!"
It did not stop there.
After the little girl took a drive in the jeep, she called over her cousin for a jeep journey too.
So at the end of the day, BH had not one, but two girls go for a drive in the jeep.
It's true what they say then I guess - a nice car will impress the ladies.
And at almost four years old, this is not what I like to be talking about!

At Four Years Old: A Love Story, Part I
At four years old, there should be no "love story". I don't want to hear anything about my boys talking about girlfriends. No!
Unfortunately, I had to hear all about it today.
A'Face and B'Head were on the playground and from the top of the jungle gym, A'Face while looking out, says "I don't see my girlfriend."
In the distance he spotted her. "BH! I see her! Let's go get her!"
Grandma nixed that immediately. "Oh no! You two stay right here!"
A'Face sometime later, had this little girl in his company and introduced her to BH as his girlfriend.
Back at the car, Grandma started asking 21 questions.
Grandma: What's her name, A'Face?
A'Face: Ummm....I don't know...
BH: Think, A'Face, think!
A'Face: Yes! "Think" is her name!
At four years old, there truly are no stories of love.

The Swimming Post
The Adventures of Boo Head continued on Saturday last, as BH embarked on the First Adventures in Swimming Classes.
(Note: The above pictured Duck is not BH)
The kid loves the pool. He may not like a shower or a bath but he does love the pool. I will not let him know it's not just one giant bath, no. Maybe he really just does not like soap? Not sure.
Anyway, he was very excited for his first class.
'Take a picture of my swim trunks!" - BH
The Calm Before the Storm...
The duck and ded octopus before the Storm.
The Storm! Being made an example of - in a good way!
He was the teacher's first aid for
demonstration on proper technique to the class.
There actually was no "storm" or mishaps to talk about. BH did really well for his first class. He tried to do as the teacher said and did it beautifully. There was that one bit when he did not jump into the pool after the count of three as per the teacher's instructions but well, maybe he had seen this sign?
He was only really paying attention! Heh?
Lincoln is his friend.
But not as good a friend as his Mommy.
As a side note: I have to say though, I on the other hand was a freakin' mess. The pool made me a little nervous seeing it. There was some sort of reminder about terrifying childhood days of my own swimming classes and being physically ill having to go on Saturday mornings.

How Quickly They Forget
With tears in his eyes, BH held Grandma's hands and said, "When I grow up, I will be a daddy. I will get a job and take care of you, Grandma".
"But Honey, I will be old by then."
"Don't worry, I will make you new again."
There were lots of hugs for grandson.
Then the very next day...
"Hi Bobo!" said Grandma, as she got into the car after work.
"We're going to Toys 'R US. You stay in the car and don't follow us."
I suppose love for Grandma can only be on Fridays but not Saturdays.

Inappropriate
The other day, BH was driving his jeep along with the radio blasting away. The radio picks up signals from actual radio stations so although it was no fault of anyone's, I found that "Sexual Healing" was a rather inappropriate tune for a 3 and a 1/2 to be listening to.

Self-Loathing
A lot of people came into the McDonald's play room yesterday as BH, H1 and I were leaving. Many of the people who came spoke Spanish as a first language. As I was putting on his shoes, and BH was observing, I heard him say...
"Spanish..."
I waited for the rest of it quietly, fearing something not so p.c.
"...makes me angry."
And there it was.
"Okay, BH, let's go.... ::muttering:: now".

A Composition All His Own
It goes a little something like this:
Doo Da Dee-dee Dats!
Take a bow, BH. Take a bow.
