Did I ever mention that Boo-Head loves Rock Band?
He loves music and when Rock Band came out last November, he was all over one song.
He loves to sing his favourite song from that and it goes something like, "Hey ho, let's go!"
That's right, he loves The Ramones' "Blitzkrieg Bop".
That was a year ago and he still sings the same song to me but today he actually sang in time and got an 'awesome' on the 'hey ho' part.

Sneezy
I forgot to mention it but at some point this week when he was sick, he had a runny nose and he almost rubbed it on his Momma. H1 said to him, "Don't rub your nose on me! Go rub it on Grandma."
Well, let's just say he certainly listens.
Grandma could do nothing but thank him but I'm sure she wasn't thankful to H1.

Testing Us
At the beginning of the week, Boo-Head had a cold which he has graciously passed along to me.
During his illness he was full of complaints - more so than usual. On Monday he tossed his milk into the sink because he did not want milk in a cup. This has been an ongoing thing with him ever since we've been trying to switch him from the bottle to a cup.
He refuses to give up the night bottle and only recently started drinking from a cup in the morning off an on.
He has been pretending to ignore us while in the car and won't talk to us.
Tonight, I was passing by the door, headed towards the kitchen and he waved at me and told me 'bye bye'.
"I'm not going! I'm going to the kitchen."
Then, I was sitting on the couch some time later and he looked at me, looked at the door, looked back at me and said, "bye bye" while waving.
How rude!
Currently listening to: "Tamashii no Kyuusai" by Kaoru Wada, from the D. Gray-Man Original Soundtrack I.

Bonjour!
In an attempt to begin teaching Boobey-Head new languages, H1 and I have begun saying a few phrases to him.
He loves to say "Bonjour", dislikes "Au revoir", is just about a master of "Ohayo" and "Konbanwa" but can only muster 'chi wa' of "Konnichi wa".
Currently listening to: "A Full Scale Attack" by Nobuo Uematsu, from the Final Fantasy VII Original Soundtrack.
P.S. Boo-Head just called me on the phone, trying to tell me something about my hands. I don't know if they're broken or dirty. He also told me, 'love you' which sounded more like, 'lov oo'.

The First Day
Yesterday, little Boobey-Head went to his first day of Day Care.
The last few weeks or so have been traumatic for H1 and myself because we were nervous about sending him away to a place where he knew no one, nor would he have any of his family there with him being that it would be a first for him to ever be without us.
It turns out that he did great.
As I heard it, he ran away from his daddy to go play with a bag of cars he saw, then only after 30-40 minutes he realised he was alone, and then started to cry.
Because he was upset, he did not eat breakfast but made up for it at lunch.
He also had the loudest voice on the playground for most of the day.
Overall, he apparently had a good day and did quite well.
We're proud and I'm sure next week will be easier for us.
Today was A'Face's 2nd birthday (Happy Birthday A'Face!) and it just made us think about how fast time goes and that B'Head will be approaching his 2nd in a couple of months too.
This morning he was a big boy, sitting on my lap with much clarity in his speaking. It won't be long before he'll be talking at full speed in complete sentences we can understand.
Boo-Head will probably not let me call him that soon.
I'm sure there'll be plenty of Hi-Jinks even when that time comes.

Shame
Yesterday, he came out of the bathroom after bath time, dragging this huge towel in front of him. When he spotted me, he looked down and made sure he was covered up properly.
"Oh ho! You have shame, Boobey! That's right, cover up!"
Then he walked away, with his little feet on the towel very gingerly, with his front still covered but it was then I saw it - he covered the front, but no the back.
He has no shame.

A New Game
There's a game he plays with his mom and it goes like this:
"I can't find Boo-Head!", says Momma.
::Boo-Head hides under a blanket with his pacifier (baba) in his mouth::
"You know how you find him? You have to listen for him!", says Momma.
It's at this point you listen and Boo-Head will loudly suck his pacifier
"There he is!", Momma exclaims.
::smile::
Cute.

A Dinosaur Attack
We developed a new game yesterday, where one of Papa's scarecrows from the garden, shimmies across the table and then plays "Stomp on your Train!".
Currently listening to: "Somnolent Forest" by Tsuyoshi Sekito, from the Brave Fencer Musashiden Soundtrack. I wish they re-release this game for the DS. That'd be the coolest thing ever.
Friday Morning Playdoh Session
I was greeted by a Boo-Head in bug pajamas. He wanted to play with playdoh and this is what we came up with, inspired by his attire -

I actually think it came out pretty good but the radioactive glow confuses me. Yeah right, playdoh's about as non-toxic as my butt.

Currently listening to: "The Chase" by Alan Reeves, Phil Steele, and Philip Brigham, from the Kill Bill Volume 2 Soundtrack.

Pending Rain
At some point during our day of play, the clouds turned black and the wind started to blow cold and fierce.
With the threat of rain, I tried to gather up Boo-Head and A'Face to hurry indoors. "Quick! Let's go in the house!", I shouted.
Boo-Head ran straight into his play house, closed the windows and prepared for the coming storm.
Hilarious.

Currently listening to: Dad, playing on the DS while learning "My Spanish Coach".

Froggy Fun
A'Face came to visit today and discovered a plastic frog in Boo-Head's collection of toys.
According to A'Face, the froggy says "Yibbit". The frog is apparently Jewish.
Currently: trying to figure out why the Dragons in Dragon Tales are Spanish. There's no such thing as a Spanish Dragon!

Did I mention I feel sorry for the poor screaming little frog?

The day after he was pretending to be asleep so as to not speak with us, we called to talk to him and this time he covered his ears.
August Continues to be Fall and Quiche
Yesterday we went to the craft store Michael and their Fall display was out. Hey, it feels like fall so why not, I guess.
Boo-Head happily went running through the aisles that had the displays of fake orange and red wreaths, arrangements and tried to pick the Fall fake berries.
He was born on the 9th of October making him a Fall baby. I think he's going to have fun times this season as I always do.
In other news, this morning he had a taste of quiche for breakfast.
I am informed that quiche, like crab, tastes like "dirt".
Currently listening to: "Thomas The Tank Engine" on TV. It's an episode all about Skarlowey (or however that's spelt), and the sound of Boo-Head's pitter-patter which is more of a thunderous gait in the room above my head.

The Giant's Cottage Under the Frighteningly Majestic Tree
The Giant known as Boobey-Head has his own cottage that lies just beyond the hilly hills of Gnome Country.
Gnomey Gnome stumbled across it today in an adventure, when he decided to follow Boobey-Head back from whence he came.
The adventure began a tad past 6 PM. Boobey-Head, after a Summer day full of play in the Tote Full of Sand, on the small-for-him slithery slide and running through the tall blades of green grass - the Giant was tired and headed with one he calls "Dada" to a house.
Gnome has come to realize that it is a Summer House, with a little red card parked outside, much like his Cottage and his little red Gnome Mobile.
Yet it is not.

Upon closer inspection, the Summer House has Yellow Windows on either side, that open outward and the Giant enjoys opening them upon entering.
He doesn't just 'open' them though, he pushes them with such force that if Gnome were to not be careful, he'd be hurricane'd clear across the valley!
In the Summer Abode large enough for the Giant known as Boobey-Head (although Gnome was rather amused to see the Giant's Adult Relatives squeeze recklessly inside on ocassion, much to Boobey-Head's dismay), there is a pull down table.
What's the table for? Is it for tea? Is it for Art time? There are no chairs, which confuses Gnome. "Who has tea while standing?" he ponders.
There's no bed for nap time either but only the soft grass to lay on but Gnome was sure there were ants abound but perhaps such tiny things as ants are no worries to a Giant.
Gnome has decided that the house has not been fully furnished or is just a place for shade. It's nothing like his Summer Cottage in Gnome Country, which has a full bath, a guest room and a hammock in the back yard for napping under the sun.
The Summer House seemed to be thoroughly enjoyed by the Giant though, it seems to Gnome and "that's all that really matters", thinks he. "A place to play, a place for shade and a place to enjoy Summer!"
As Gnome trundled back to Gnome Country, ducking behind the tall green blades of grass in hiding, chittering with ants on the way home and whistling a sunny song out of earshot from Boo-Head, he thinks about the lemonade he would make from the pink lemons that grow in the summer on the bush near the cottage.
He thinks about the raspberryade he would like to make from the bushes that grow on the other side of The Giant Boo-Head's Summer Cottage, all while grinning from ear to ear.
And then he thinks, "I wonder if Boo-Head will fit in that cottage next year at the astronomical rate he seems to be growing!!!!"
Gnome is Currently listening to: "The Sound of Settling" by Death Cab for Cutie and "Take it or Leave It" by Arctic Monkeys. He wishes they'd put the Arctic Monkeys discography on "Rock Band", so that he could do a jig like no one else can.

Full of Keed
Today we called him as per usual and when asked if he wanted to speak to his Mama and Suga'Face, the answer was the same in both instances as Grandma informed us: he pretended to be asleep and therefore could not speak with us.
Apparently this is what he does now when he doesn't want to talk to us.

The Car Hospital
There's a hospital in the living room, under the mountain where the train track runs.
It's a hospital for damaged cars.
It would appear that the hospital is quite adequately funded as all cars there always look quite healthy with a full body of multi-coloured paint coats, sometimes smiling faces and always bright-eyed.
This upstanding health care must be thanks to the booboo cream and the caring hands of Dr. B-Head, the well-respected Director and Chief Surgeon at the hospital.
Or maybe, this is really the Neglected Car Hospital - cars that have been locked away after months of play and are no longer wanted, along with a kitty and a red bird.
Yep, it used to be an animal hospital once. I remember when Boo-Head loved that bird...

The Painting Continues
Fall Comes Early
Tonight, I heard children happily cavorting outside my window on the street some the place.
I thought to myself, "Suck it up, children! Enjoy your freedom while you can!!" which is what my usual response is to the sound of children playing in August, especially on this cool Fall feeling night.
It made me a little sad though, not so much for the kids but for Boo-Head who will soon be doing the same. Will he be nervous? Will he be happy? Will he cry? Will he be okay at school? I'm sure he'll hate it like most kids but I'm hoping he'll be a bit of nerdle, love going and do well.
He will do well though, I'm going to make sure of it.
Awww, he's growing up fast.

Not Right
Yesterday he went to a little Hamburger Joint, saw a little girl sitting nearby eating an ice-cream and called to her, "Ay, Girl". That is wajang behaviour that I know nothing about but H1 slapped me like it was my fault. I never wajang.
His adventure today included a trip to Papa Hochie's Office. It wasn't truly an adventure for him I suppose but luckily Granma's Jury Duty stint has ended and he can go back to playing in his sand tote amongst other things to pass his day.
That Sand Tote is greatness. It's good for now and a great way to save over one hundred dollars.
Angel calls it a sandbox for selfish kids. That's pretty funny. Awwww.

Currently listening to: crickets.

Connecticut: the New Sodor?
There was a train adventure today involving Thomas. Boo-Head and A. Face went to Connecticut to ride the 'real' Thomas the Tank Engine.
I was not there but later when I asked Boobey where he went and who did he see, he sweetly smiled and said "Thomas". I asked him if he had fun and he replied cutely, "fun". Awww, that smile was classic.
He's so full of knowing, not that he wasn't before but the level of understanding is much more interactive now.

Some of Boo-Head's Favourite Sesame Street Videos
Would You Like To Buy an "O"?
Note - the biggest ball is one he calls "dada":
He likes this one about three striped balls that scorned a spotted one because it has the plague. I guess having the plague is much worse than having vertigo:
When he wants to watch this one with the balls, he requests it by saying "balls! Di di" in tune with the song.
One of our favourites and one of his involves Cookie Monster. I never remembered Cookie being so darned hilarious before:
All this is our attempt to get him to watch the classics instead of that arse Elmo Show. Ugh.
Currently listening to: "FOOD" by Cookie Monster. Dum de dum dum dum. Oh, Boo-Head says that when he wants to watch it.

Play-doh
With our yellow, green and blue Play-doh, Boo-Head and I have been creating masterpieces!
Most times we create food and thus far we've 'feasted' on meatball pizza, drinks of various kinds, a burger, a T-Bone steak, blueberries and green peas.
Our creatures have been shaped into a Pumpkin the Cat, a Jazzie the Cat and a Bird. Once, there was a Caterpillar (which I only just this second realized what it was because for the life of me, I couldn't figure out what I had made nor could he).
The recent obsession has been the molding of a boppie, a baby, a bottle and the baby's toy car.
But 'sshhhh', the baby's sleeping.
shhhhh...

Lover or Fighter?
H1 always said that Boo-Head's a lover and not a fighter, unlike his cousin Boo-Face. I suppose that there's only so much beating a little Boo-Head can take until he lashes back, pushes down his foe and proceeds to jump on him.
That day has come.
While it is unfortunate that he has resorted to "beat! beat!" his cousin, it's also unfortunate that standing up for yourself will not work on Boo-Face because B'Face enjoys himself a good fight and is only encouraged to do bad by this behaviour.
He's so wicked that 'Face...

Flirt
Boo-Head is all about shy-looking. He used to do it to me when he was a few months old and started it up again recently.
He flirts as well these days much to my dismay. He's too young!
This weekend he flirted with Sufi, and last week he flirted with little Asian girls at Master Chi's wedding (he got in between their happy dancing and harrassed them). The week before that he was flirting with Steph and Christi and a while before that when we went to India House, he resorted to calling our waitress "baby" and kept calling for her.
X was displeased as you know, she says she's the only pi he should be giving sweet eye too. I have to remember to tell her about Sufi.
Also, if he finds new people he likes, he shows off in front of them.
On another note, Operation Fist and Bounce at MC was a success. He's a pro at representin'.
Currently listening to: Beetchie "choo-choo'ing Boo-Head" and Boo-Head responding with "'gain".
