Happy Birthday to Me

I'm sure that's what BH will sing to himself at some point today.

Happy Birthday, BH! A grand old 5.  It's amazing and also a little scary.  I also know I have not written anything on you here in some time but I will get it together some time.

Winter Stories, Part I

This Winter has not passed without some sort of hi jinks.

For instance, here's a story about two deer that you may not have known.

Do you see that there? Those are deer tracks from two deer.

Two? you may ask.

Yes, that is what I was told.

So what exactly happened to these two deer?

Well, as it was told to me, one went one way...and the other made his escape via jumping over the fence.  The fence is not close to the tree mind you, so I can assure those were some true acrobatics performed by said deer.

Also, the deer that went the other way? I'm not sure how it managed but I can also tell you that there was no deer hiding in his little house.  That deer was gifted with Phantasm.

Or perhaps it was gifted with the power of Gopher-ism and burrowed into the ground there?

We may never know.

The Batman Debacle

Things that do not turn out as planned just leave room for more jokes.

However, it was no joke last night when H1's cake did not fall in line with our plans - the cake turned out heavy and inedible (well, the taste was great but you probably could hit somebody over the head with it and inflict blunt force trauma - kidding, kidding H1!).

Instead, we woke to make cupcakes with a Batman Theme instead.

Batman & Friends plus Robin's Motorcycle.  Plus Enemies.
When life throws you cupcakes, you stick Batman throwing a batarang at you, into one.
Link - not really a friend; really here for cupcake.
Uh, the blue turned out to be vintage Batman but not modern Dark Knight.  Some may argue that that is baby boy blue but you just wouldn't know Vintage Batman, now would you?

Pumpkin Decorating was a big hit with the chirren.  Stickers and Pumpkins go well together.  Some awesome designs were made.

A'Face's Pirate Pumpkin is really cracking me up some.

However, I did not need no steenking instructions and to prove it, no pumpkin was as fantabulous as mine:

Zombie Pumpkin: A+
Now let us talk about the piñata.

Oh the piñata.

Exactly who are those things built for? I managed to crack the chest but the kids certainly could not bust that thing if a recently retired Corrections Officer could not (even after I cracked it).

It eventually got its come uppance but hey, what do you expect from Batman? He doesn't go down that easily and if you thought so, then you do not really know Batman, now do you?

The Be-heading of Batman.  Not Kid Party Friendly.
All in all, I think BH had a great day.  He got lots of prezzies of toys and clothes.  The clothes he did not care much for but he also did not care for smaller toys.  They were "blah blah blah".   I don't know where he picked up this attitude from but he best be appreciating!

The small things are fun!

Actually now that I think about it, he didn't care for the medium-sized things.

Small things are okay; big things are okay.  Medium-sized are crap.

I may not be able to dispute him but don't let him know.  He should still be grateful!

Be Kind

Be kind to your paw-footed friends
for a cat may be somebody's
Rowan.

While trying to sort out the treat bags for the school's Valentine's Day celebrations, H1 needed to know how many girls and boys were in the class.

H1: Is Rowan a boy or a girl?
BH: Ummm, I don't know.
H1: Okay, well let's try this...::proceeds to name all the kids and ask boy or girl:::
BH: ::Answers correctly for everyone::
H1: ...and Rowan is a...?
BH: a cat.

So there you have it.

Rowan is a cat.

A day later, we found out that Rowan was a 'somebody' according to BH.

Somebody's cat? I'm not sure.

Just for the record, I highly doubt Rowan's as gOOd-looking as my Pumpkin featured above.

Awww, I love my scary Halloween cat.

A'Face and A'Cheeks

Our loveable two visited recently.

As it turns out, no longer does BooHead take beatings from A'Face but he's now all about repaying all the times he was wronged.

Other than the few scuffles, here are a couple of memorable moments the NC HOChie Chirren left us with:

1. It was very cold on the Thursday I spent with A'Face. Cold enough to warrant a winter coat, gloves and a hat. Unfortunately, we did not have a hat that was acceptable to A'Face's liking.

After Grandma gave him the grey and dark blue number, he said, "I need a mirror."

We directed him to the room, where he looked at himself, started laughing and pulled it off, "No."

Well.

The hoodie was okay enough and apparently had to be.

2. A'Cheeks - not only does she fancy herself a pole, she also fancies herself a slapping hand.

As she was sitting on her daddy's lap, H1 came around trying to taunt the little one. Putting her head on Bunji's shoulder, she said to A'Cheeks, "Mmmyy Daddyyyy".

POW.

The hand went up, and the face was slapped.

H1 got told.

I miss them.

The Things One Can Find in a Diaper

While sticking his hands in his diaper, the following exchange occurred:

"what's in here, mommy? Poop?" - BH
"No, I just changed you. There's nothing in there." - H1
"Yeah.. so my round bumsee in here?" - BH
"Yes. I guess so." - H1

I wonder if he found his triple cheek, which as of this day is still present.

Dreams

It's been a little while since we have blogged here but the hi jinks have not ended. I have lots of back blogging to do.

He's been dreaming and recalling much of lately but today he awoke frantic and sad.

BH: Boobey...I dreamt you got sting.
Boobey: I was?
BH: A dog bite me.
Boobey: But we're okay. It was just a dream.
BH: A fish sting you.
Boobey: A fish?
BH: And you died.
Boobey: Oh.

Hmmm.

Mine

"Boobey, Grandma and Papa are going to see A'Face and B'Cheeks tomorrow." - H1
"My ('Lana! My 'Lana) B'Cheeks! My B'Cheeks!" - Boobey Head.
"What about A'Face? Your A'Face?" - H1
"No." - Boobey Head.

Happy Birthday, Momma!

If you are here, that means you found your first present. It cost me not much but I guess time is money sooo... Well, it did cost me a little bit of sad moments, some moments of panic (when you'd come around in the room and I had to hide what I was doing quickly and blogspot refused to co-operate), but mostly there are fun moments.

Welcome to:

If you can't read it, it says "Boo-Head Hi Jinks".

Now that you know all about my secret project, and I'm sure everyone else will find it eventually, you can contribute to everything Boo-Head!

Happy Birthday with lots of love from Boo-Head and Or 2.

Currently listening to: "All The Love in the World" by NIN and "Hamburg Song" by Keane.

"Goo'Day" to Boo-Head Hi Jinks

There would be a "Welcome" but this is appropriate because Boo-Head has learnt how to Goo'day me, his Suga'Face or for him, his Bueberry (he has yet to master the letter 'l').

This is a blog hosted by The HOchieS and Gnomey-Gnome. Yep, Gnomey-Gnome. He has been on sabbatical, but I discovered him busily writing ideas down for this blog when I found him behind the scanner in my room the other day.

So far, I've been able to decipher two diary-type entries he wrote earlier this year, so forgive me if the dates are all over the place but it takes a lot of hard work deciphering Gnome-Script and Speak!

What does the Boo-Head Hi Jinks Blog entail? Why, the Adventures of Boo-Head, of course! It's all about what H1's little Boo-Head has done as part of his life journey ever since that October 9th Day in 2006.

There's something new everyday with that one, so we decided to chronicle as much as we can while we can because the day will come when he'll be a pita.

Ahaha, just kidding H1.

A Few Things To Remember:

Mama is H1
Suga'Face, Booberry or Bueberry is Or 2

Currently listening to: X, drunk-dialing me on the phone, from Bim and it's not even noon yet. Tsk.
