Songs

For some reason, BH just could not wait to get inside the bathroom to take off his clothes in preparation for the bath he needed to take one evening.  Instead, he began the stripping outside, at the side of the house on his way into the kitchen.

And in this confusion, a new song was born.

"Everyone is going to see my DAH DOO DEE DEE DATS!"

If you may recall, the original composition by Boo Head was not so undignified.  And as the months went by, there were variations of said composition.

It is no surprise then as to why I am slightly appalled.

Breaking Hearts

BH was not listening to Grandma yesterday when she asked him to put on his shoes and socks.  Finally, she went into the room to ask why he was not complying with her request.

His response was the immediate trickery, begging for sympathy line, "I luz you".  To which Grandma replied, "Yeah? We'll I don't luz you right now."

The shock of it all was too much for BH to bear.

"...Grandma...don't break my heart!"

Then this morning, his Momma asked him if Grandma broke his heart yesterday.

"Yes.  Grandma breaks...::pause:: break my heart".  It was not long after that BH could be heard singing that blasted song by Taio Cruz feat. Ludacris.

He's a joker but he really should stop singing that horrible song.

He should stick to his new song that he likes, "Lasso" by Phoenix.

A'Face on the other hand...he's a lost cause.  There he was singing "Fireflies" by Owl City to me on the phone this afternoon.  He sang it well and even after I berated him for telling him it was a terrible song and that I would teach him better ones.

Goodness knows what B'Cheeks was trying to sing to me on the phone after that.  It was probably Pink.  Ugh.

Those kids are breaking MY heart.

There's this little song BH had been learning at school and H1 found the lyrics and learnt it as well so that she and the BH can sing it together at home.

There's a lyric in there that is something to the effect of "I'll love you in the morning and all day" or some such thing, and as she was singing it to him today, she asked him if he loves his mommy in the morning etc etc.

He quickly responded "No".

That, of course, made H1 very sad and she in sheer shock, she began to cry and speak to him with great disbelief.

Realising what he did to his mommy, he said "Well, actually, yes. Don't cry."

It was a dry as it reads.

I wonder if H1 will ever sing Skidamarink again.

Three Little Birds

He and Momma were singing this today. The parts in bold are the words he sings - he completes the line...

Rise up this mornin,
Smiled with the risin sun,
Three little birds
On my truck
Singin sweet songs
Of melodies pure and true,
Sayin, 'this is my message to you'

...other than the truck and the 'you-ou-ou', he completes the lines pretty well for the most part.

Back-Entry For May 10th, 2008

Boo-Head has a new trick - when he doesn't like a song, he will be sure to let you know. If you ask him if he likes the song, he'll tell you 'no' but beware if you ignore him and don't change the station because now he has taken to putting his fingers in his ears when trying to drown out those things he doesn't want to hear. No RATM though kid? Who are you?!

For those wondering, if he does like a song he'll start dancing to it by bobbing his head. That kid loves bass.

In other news, apparently big yellow posts at Wendy's are bananas. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise, Boo-Head.
