Just a Little Bit

Two nights ago, at 11:15 p.m. or so, the conversation was had with Uncle CLee as to why at 11:15 p.m., little BH was still awake.

The explanation, at least in our minds, was simple: There had been a 5 p.m. nap leading to a late night up with his Momma and a skype session with Uncle CLee.

Simple, and true.

But perhaps there was something we were missing.

"Tell Uncle CLee why you are up so late," H1 told BH.

"Well you see," BH began "I am a little bit Octurnal."

What?

He knows what "nocturnal" means and there was some surprise as to why he was 'octurnal'.

Such a thing does not exist!

But, and as I brainstormed, perhaps if it were later, then he would be well and proper "nocturnal".

Apparently, I was spot on because that is the very reason BH gave for his being just a little bit octurnal.

In case you were wondering, he gets his ridiculousness from his Momma H1, and not me.

These Days

These days, BH has taken to 'taunting' me with various things.

For instance, "Booooobbeeeey, I went to the zoo without you toooddaaaAY."

or

"Boooooobbeeeeeyyy, I had ice-cream without you toooddaaaAY."

My response is usually the same, "Really? While I was slavin' at work, you were doing all these things?"

"Yes."

He's got a cold heart, that one.

The Bee

One day, while BH and I were running around the yard, he decided that he would play a bee and 'sting' me.

Regardless of what H1 thinks, I maintain that I did not teach him this nonsense nor is he 'pick up' his ridiculousness from me. He inherited it from his mother.

Shark Attack

After his last haircut, he came home with another new friend. I was hoping for another Monkey Duck but as we all already know, I love sharks so I was quite pleased. I was actually hoping for a Monkey Shark but that's okay too, I suppose.

Yesterday, Shark Friend held on to my finger.

"It got me!" I cried.

And when Boobey pulled it off, my finger was missing.

He cutely looked down the belly of the beast to see if my finger was eaten and stared for a while until it was revealed that Suga' was okay and the finger was magically reattached.

Needless to say he was not tricked again until my thumb disappeared after being engulfed by Shark Friend.

Thumbs aren't fingers.

Pending Rain

At some point during our day of play, the clouds turned black and the wind started to blow cold and fierce.

With the threat of rain, I tried to gather up Boo-Head and A'Face to hurry indoors. "Quick! Let's go in the house!", I shouted.

Boo-Head ran straight into his play house, closed the windows and prepared for the coming storm.

Hilarious.
