The Indignities One Endures

It's not just one of us that suffered at the hands of Boo Head yesterday, but a cat was also a casualty.

Well, I suppose BH was being kind when he surrounded Pumpkin with some of his lovely stuffed friends.  He even built him a fort.

Pumpkin did not seem to mind.  So I guess the one who suffered feeling unloved was Jazzie.

Here she is feeling jealous and giving the evil eye.
But you know who was terribly wronged this day?

Me.  Or 2.

After I was laying on the couch playing cars and boo with him, he jumped up ready to go outside and I was met with "Get up lazy Boobey".

The words hurt but it was the unassuming, sweet, sing-song way in which they were said that cut the deepest.

Then there was the drawing incident...

I was informed that that there is me.  I had to ask where my glasses were.

"Oh yeah, I forgot." and he drew them on.

You should have seen what I looked like before.

Quitting Time

H1: BH, come clean up your moon sand from the table please.
BH: I don't want to! I...I quit you! I won't talk to you anymore.

Then while brushing teeth, BH was not listening to Mommy because he was swallowing the water instead of spitting.

H1: You're not doing a good job today.
BH: I don't like you anymore!
H1: You don't like me? Why?
BH: Because I don't like it when you tell me I'm not doing a good job.

Maybe I can tell Grandma this story, so we can start quitting him when he's acting up.

A taste of his own medicine might be in order.

Back-Chatting

H1: You're lucky you're so cute, or else the ugly would have been beaten out of you a long time ago.

BH: I will beat the ugly out of you!

Being Naughty and Doing Exactly as Told

I heard there was a time-out tonight because BH put a small toy part in his mouth and went running.

He knows better than that but he is so stubborn these days.

As usual, he cried when he got a time-out and to help him understand (not that he doesn't) why he got put in, H1 asked him if he knew why he got put there.

"Tell me why," she said.

"Why," he answered.

I'm not too clear if was "Why" or "Y" he responded with.

Telling It Like It Is?

"Boobey is Naughty boy" - Grandma
"No! Boobey good boy!" - BH
"No! You naughty boy! That is why you're so skinny!" - Grandma
"No! Boobey not skinny!" - BH
"You are fat then!" - Grandma
"No! Boobey not fat anymore" - BH
"Is Grandma fat?" - Grandma
" 'es". - BH

How insulting!

No Grabbing

BH likes to play dare devil at times.

He's fond of diving off various things which is scary and dangerous. We keep telling him but he's also become quite the stubborn little thing (the other day we got into a fight because he was a being a brat and I told him as much, and he did not take kindly to that - "No brat! Boobey...pineapple!" - apparently, I'm a pineapple, which in his little 2.5 year old world is the worst thing he could think of).

The other day, he was rambunctiously playing around Grandma and tried to jump off the recliner, and Grandma had to quickly grab him to ensure he did not fall.

"Don't grab BH's bumsee!"

I just don't know what is wrong with these children these days.

Currently listening to: BH being put to bed and singing the "Ibsy Bipsy" Spider over the monitor.

Lover or Fighter?

H1 always said that Boo-Head's a lover and not a fighter, unlike his cousin Boo-Face. I suppose that there's only so much beating a little Boo-Head can take until he lashes back, pushes down his foe and proceeds to jump on him.

That day has come.

While it is unfortunate that he has resorted to "beat! beat!" his cousin, it's also unfortunate that standing up for yourself will not work on Boo-Face because B'Face enjoys himself a good fight and is only encouraged to do bad by this behaviour.

He's so wicked that 'Face...
