"I would like to see where Santa is now," BH said.
This was a week or so ago, well after Santa had already gone back to the North Pole for his hibernation.
"Well, I can tell you where he is. He's at the North Pole. Christmas is over and you will not be able to track Santa's flight until the end of the year. That's almost a whole year away... see? We're in January. Then there's February, Mar...," I began saying.
"...March, April, May, June...uhhh..." BH continued.
"Wow! I didn't know you knew the months, even though I did try to teach you at some point! It's July..." I helped.
"July, August, September, October, Newvember, DECEMBER!!!" he finished.
"Yep, very good! But now you know Santa's not coming for a while." I'm one to dash dreams, yes.
It's good to see he's learning things at school, except what the heck is "Newvember". Don't worry, I let him know it was "November". I'll quiz him in a few days to see what he says.

Show and Tell
At his new school, BH has to participate in Show and Tell.
This is a new concept to him and being unfamiliar, he already decided before the event that he did not like it nor did he want to do it.
For two days straight we tried to explain what Show and Tell involved and how exciting it could be.
For two days straight including the morning of, the fussing about not wanting to do Show and Tell was made very clear to us.
I happened to be home on Thursday - you guessed it, the day of Show and Tell - and went with Papa to drop BH to school.
We convinced him to take a train to school but told him that he did not 'have' to do Show and Tell.
Now pay attention because this is how BH tricks us (a little Show and Tell display of my own):
As soon as he got into the school, the teacher saw his train in hand and asked if that was for Show and Tell.
For a second, I thought to myself, "oh no Lady, you do not want to ask about that because you are going to be witness to a fit."
I could not even think the words fast when BH blurted out, "yes".
Hold on.
What?
Did that kid just say "yes" as in "yes" he brought a train for Show and Tell? When just mere minutes before he was adamant that he 'boring' the Show and Tell?
...Dare I say the obvious?
::sigh::
Fine.
He showed us.

Wiping Away, Birthday and the Crane Game!
This past week, Boo-Head has done many things of the 'naughty' kind.
He has begun to wipe off his mommy's kisses! And pretty much everyone else's too.
The other thing he insists upon this week is saying that his birthday is on Saturday.
I got a box of presents that he contributed to, and what does he do?
"Open it!"
"No, Boobey, it's my box! It's my stuff for my birthday!"
"Jogan's! Train! Open please!"
"No, it's MY birthday! Suga'Face's!"
"Jogan's" ::taps chest to indicate it is his birthday.
"Suga'Face's."
"Jogan's."
Eh. That kid likes to keed.
One cool thing he has started doing is creating 'scenarios'. This week, he set two of his cars up as if they had been in a bit of an accident and overturned, left them, then went to find a crane to get them out of the drain.
Yep, he told Grandma that he needed a crane.
And in a bit of an interesting news non-Boobey Head related, A'Face told me, "I cry. I hate school."
I don't know where he learnt the word 'hate' either.
Currently: Really thirsty. I wish the cats would get me water.

Fall Comes Early
Tonight, I heard children happily cavorting outside my window on the street some the place.
I thought to myself, "Suck it up, children! Enjoy your freedom while you can!!" which is what my usual response is to the sound of children playing in August, especially on this cool Fall feeling night.
It made me a little sad though, not so much for the kids but for Boo-Head who will soon be doing the same. Will he be nervous? Will he be happy? Will he cry? Will he be okay at school? I'm sure he'll hate it like most kids but I'm hoping he'll be a bit of nerdle, love going and do well.
He will do well though, I'm going to make sure of it.
Awww, he's growing up fast.

Currently listening to: "At The Bottom of Night" by Yasunori Mitsuda, from the Chrono Trigger Original Soundtrack.
