Yesterday morning, BH asked for an Xbox 360. I curse Microsoft for their Kinect marketing!!!!!
He's getting nothing from me.
Update on 12/07/2010:
He informs me that he wants a Kinect because he wants to be the controller.
1/2 of 1 billion dollars in marketing is working pretty good, I'd say.

Furdiburb
BH has been taking care of his Furdiburb. What's a Furdiburb you might ask? He's a little virtual creature that needs to be fed at meal times, showered and have his poop cleaned up.
He's a virtual pocket monster much like the digimon of years ago.
As you probably have realised from the second photo, having a crooked face and stripes is not normal. He is sick.
BH takes much better care of him than both his Mommy or I.
He insists to never feed him "Honey" which is actually sushi. I'm not sure why he thinks sushi is honey (I think it looks like it?) but he has concluded that everytime he eats sushi, Furdiburb usually ends up ill.
In real life, BH is all about honey.
It's a good thing BH can keep his real life separate from his Furdiburb's life.

Maggie and Her Friend
For some weeks now, BH has been all about board games.
There's one in particular that he loves, involving a photo expedition to various vacation spots, a little girl named Maggie, a pig named Hamilton and Maggie's great big friend who happens to be a Yellow Beast with Red Spots.
BH plays the game quite well and is most often the winner, especially when he uses clever cheating tricks to foil his opponents.
The characters of the game are quite popular and one may be inclined to say that the show is called Maggie and the Ferocious Beast.
This is not so to BH, however.
I present to you a game featuring Maggie and the 'Rocious Beast.

A Video Game Wreck
He's a serious Junkie!
But at least he's going in the direction I'd like him to go.
He loves Link and The Legend of Zelda and recognized it easily in the store. He also tried to get some kid to be interested as well but that kid only wanted wind-up toys. Psh, 2 year olds.

Addicted
I'm not going to take blame for this - BH has become a bit of a zombie to Videogames.
He has so much concentration on the computer it's unreal. His skill at using one is amazing but sadly for a few days there it was all he wanted to do.
It's a bit scary, really.

Startin' Him Off Early
It was never our intent for him to be acquainted with video games until he was I don't know, 10 or so but certainly not at 2.5 years old.
Unfortunately, you hang around a gamer, you pick up gaming, I guess?
I made sure to not play Grand Theft Auto IV: Chinatown Wars around him.
I can assure all that I made sure I was not poppin' caps in people's asses during turf wars or stealing cars in his presence.
His father on the other hand may have stolen a car or two and went driving with him in GTA:IV.
BH enjoyed watching the "ghost" game: Persona 3, while I played though I didn't play that around him either or do anything other than go to school or occasionally visit the Velvet Room.
The song that plays in that space is kind of creepy with operatic vocals and I don't know where he gets this stuff from but he always wanted me to go see "Ghooosstttss". He associated the eerie sound with ghosts and thus his obsession continues.
One of his current favourites is Crash Bandicoot.
Like most people, he is fascinated by the Tiki Mask, and more so the sound the Mask makes when one collects it.
He doesn't like it when I hit the turtles but he's okay with the spinning attack on some 'kunks (skunks).
So far, his favourite game is Patapon 2. He may love those little one-eyed beasts almost as much as I do and is very upset with them right now that they're building a bridge and cannot be bothered (ie I am finished with the game and won't play it anymore). He keeps asking for them though and will once in a while ask if they are finished building their bridge. I told him that it'd probably take them about 2 years or so to complete.
He likes digging up the garden and wacking pinatas in Viva Pinata. I...don't know anything about that or why H1 would allow such a blatant display of violence.
But it might explain why he will tell his daddy to go "get" certain types of cars in GTA:IV.
Of course, the game that started it all was his love of The Ramones and Rock Band.
He has graduated from singing and is starting to play an instrument...kind of.
::sniff::

The Bee
One day, while BH and I were running around the yard, he decided that he would play a bee and 'sting' me.
Regardless of what H1 thinks, I maintain that I did not teach him this nonsense nor is he 'pick up' his ridiculousness from me. He inherited it from his mother.

Making Word People

Boobey placed a fitting word over Word Person No. 2 after telling me he was a little something. More reasons why I think he reads. Also, yesterday he woke up and looked over to see what time it was.

A New Game
There's a game he plays with his mom and it goes like this:
"I can't find Boo-Head!", says Momma.
::Boo-Head hides under a blanket with his pacifier (baba) in his mouth::
"You know how you find him? You have to listen for him!", says Momma.
It's at this point you listen and Boo-Head will loudly suck his pacifier
"There he is!", Momma exclaims.
::smile::
Cute.

A Dinosaur Attack
We developed a new game yesterday, where one of Papa's scarecrows from the garden, shimmies across the table and then plays "Stomp on your Train!".
Currently listening to: "Somnolent Forest" by Tsuyoshi Sekito, from the Brave Fencer Musashiden Soundtrack. I wish they re-release this game for the DS. That'd be the coolest thing ever.
